Teen Velocity consists of teenagers in high school, who meet on Sunday mornings for bible study and Friday nights for fun and activities. Teen Velocity was started to give this age group an outlet to learn God’s Word on their level, broken down to the situations that they are currently facing. On Sunday mornings, the teens are encouraged to ask questions about life, God, and current event situations. They then receive their answers from the Word of God. There are teachers available to assist, but the youth also share experiences and advice to help their peers.
On Friday nights, this same group gets together to play team-building games and many other activities, including sports. This night gives our teens the opportunity to have good Christian fellowship with their peers, while building friendships and Godly character. While doing these various activities, they are able to put into action what they’ve learned in their Bible studies.
Through the Sunday mornings and Friday nights, Teen Velocity also helps to raise money for Mission outreaches, including the local food pantry, by making and selling food at various functions throughout the year. The ultimate goal of this group is to help guide the teens in a positive direction towards God and His will for their lives. When facing the obstacles of life, they are encouraged to press forth in Christ’s velocity.
