Dear Parent/Guardian,

It’s spring, and that means one thing—Vacation Bible School is just around the corner! We are counting down the days until July 5th. The sound of the children’s laughter and singing throughout the church is the most wonderful sound on earth!

We have put together some incredible Bible lessons, crafts, and songs that are sure to excite every child. This year’s theme, “My Great BIG Awesome God” will teach them how wonderful our God is and how, when we magnify Him, He becomes bigger than anything we might face. So, I hope that you make every effort to enroll your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the children of your friends and neighbors. Why? Because this is something good for every child to take part in and no child deserves to miss out.

But that’s not all; we have one more great big surprise for everyone. And yes—that includes you and all of your friends and relatives, too. We hope you will pack out the church on Friday, July 15th for our Vacation Bible School Assembly night. You may be wondering why this is such an important night. Well, first of all, during VBS, you only get bits and pieces of what your child has been learning and doing. But on this night, you get to see all that they have been learning for the two weeks of VBS! This is really great, but that’s not all—and here comes the big one—we make your beautiful children, “STARS!” And you will not want to miss them singing the wonderful songs they have learned as they take part in this fantastic night!

Then, when you think you can’t take any more excitement, we will all go to our Olive Tree Banquet Facility and you’ll be able to see their artwork on display, and also taste some of the awesome food crafts they so painstakingly created. What a fun night this will be, and truly the icing on top of the cake, as we cap off our 2011 Vacation Bible School!

So, thank you for entrusting your child to our care for these upcoming two weeks of learning and fun. I’ll see your child on Tuesday, July 5th, and I’ll see you, and all your family, on Friday, July 15th, at 7:00 pm. God bless you!
