On a very cold November 11th in 1959, Eleanor M. Kalinsky came into this world, destined to do a work for God. She grew up on the front pew of the church, singing to the top of her lungs; not exactly to sing her highest praises to God but trying to out-sing her sister. But one day at age 5 she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ. A year later she was water baptized and shortly after that, was filled with the Holy Ghost.
During an altar call one night, while praying along with others for a woman who was in great need of a saviour, she saw first-hand what Jesus could do for a life. This woman had such a torment inside that it could be seen all over her face; it was scary to look at her. But one touch of the Master’s hand and everything instantly changed. The tormented face was suddenly gone and replaced with joy and beauty. The eyes that were dark and cold were now full of life, love, and peace. At that moment, Eleanor knew that this was what she wanted to do with her life. She said, “I want that – I want to be able to mend broken people just like that.”
At age 11 she preached her first youth camp message. God was surely in it as the anointing of the Holy Ghost filled that place and people’s lives were changed. In her teenage years, with a heart of servant hood, she began to work and gain hands-on training in every outreach ministry of the church. In 1978 she joined the office staff and in 1987 she was ordained and became the Youth Pastor and Ministry Overseer. Her extensive experience included 21 years of service on the church staff, with 12 of those years as an Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor until 1998.
In 1998, Rev. Kalinsky became the Pastor of the F.G.I.Church. With the Lord’s guidance, a tremendous love and compassionate heart for people, and a Holy Ghost anointed ministry, she remains dedicated to upholding God’s standard of righteousness. She has incredible insight in pastoring, teaching, evangelism, and missionary work, which has encouraged countless churches, pastors, and ministries here at home and abroad. She is the President and Chairman of the church’s mission outreach organization, World-Wide Lighthouse Missions, Inc. and has ministered extensively on the fields throughout the years.
Rev. Kalinsky’s inspirational Biblical preaching and teaching has blessed and influenced thousands, leading them to not only know the Saviour personally, but also to reach their highest potential in Him. She is a personable preacher with a friendly, down-to-earth quality that can both captivate you and make you laugh out loud, but in each message she shares, her incisive Biblical truths will challenge you to make a difference in the world, and ultimately, help you to make heaven your home. Rev. Kalinsky also possesses a remarkable, God-given talent to minister in song.
Rev. Kalinsky is happily married to the love of her life, Evangelist, Rev. Jerry Kalinsky who shares the same burden to reach the lost, hurting, and forgotten for Jesus Christ. Together, they seek to fulfill the divine vision and purpose that comes from the anointed call of God on their lives. They were married on March 4th in 1989 – her husband picking this date as a reminder that they would always be “Marching Forth” and that, they have done.
Though they did not have any natural children of their own, God has blessed them with a multitude of wonderfully anointed Sons and Daughters in the Gospel across the world. Two of those sons who shared many hours at the Kalinsky home, married wonderful wives and one day made them proud “Adopted” Grandparents to Anabelle Renee, Noah Benjamin and Maxwell John who have added great completeness to their lives. We also cannot forget to mention Sammy, their miniature Schnauzer.
As you attend our services and church events, you will soon realize that Rev. Kalinsky is a hands-on Pastor who really loves people. She visits with the Sunday School and takes part in all the activities of the church. Wherever help is needed, she will be there to lend a hand, whether it’s washing dishes, helping cook a meal (which she loves to do), play with a child, or sit and have a friendly chat. She loves to keep in touch with all that is going on and most of all, know each and every one of the members of her church, no matter how young or old they may be. Her greatest joy is watching them grow in Christ and reaching their full potential, and will go to any lengths to help them achieve their destiny in God.
